Dear Parents and Carers,

With a return to remote learning, the staff are appreciating having time this week to plan and organise the learning program for the coming weeks. It is a challenging situation we are in but we have the benefit of the reflections from both staff and parents on our last experience and these have been used this week to help improve the learning program and make it as productive as we can for our students. We are very grateful for the training our teachers received today that was organised by one of our CSPS parents, Royi Dankner, as we endeavour to improve our use of online platforms for direct teaching. Parents will receive details from classroom teachers about some changes as we try to cater in the most effective way for the diverse learning needs of our students. I particularly want to acknowledge the efforts of our teachers this week and their focus on continued improvement of teaching and learning, even in such unsettled times. And the support from our education support team this week has been invaluable. Please see below for arrangements for collection of student resources.

We hope our students and families are managing this time well, staying resilient and keeping healthy.

Warm regards to all,

Gayle and Bianca

Re: CSPS Arrangements to collect necessary resources for remote learning

We have organised times for you to come and pick up the necessary resources to support remote learning on this Friday 17th July. Staff will be placed around the school in order to support you through this process.

  • Please be prepared and bring along an empty school bag or similar to place items into.
  • Anyone entering the school will be asked to apply hand sanitiser and continue to practice social distancing.
  • If you are unable to collect at these times we would encourage you to make arrangements with other school parents to pick up items on your behalf and drop them off at your door.

Year Prep – 2 students and only one accompanying parent are to enter via the basketball gate. They do not need to go to their child’s classroom as all resources will be distributed from the basketball courts.

Year 3 – 6 students are to enter via the basketball courts on Bundeera Rd and continue to walk straight to their classrooms to collect their resources and belongings required for remote learning. Parents will not be permitted to enter the school grounds with these students and may wait for their child outside the school.
